Michigan Career Portal

The Michigan Career Portal section of the state of Michigan’s Web site (www.Michigan.gov) contains a wealth of information about educational options after high school.

The “Education & Training” section (http://www.michigan.gov/som/0,1607,7-192-29940_32270---,00.html) includes a list with direct links to Michigan colleges and universities (two and four year), technical education, community colleges, Michigan Virtual High School, apprenticeships and entrance tests. Look for these additional useful areas within the Education & Training section:

  • Under “Training Information,” you’ll find links to technical schools, Michigan Proprietary Schools and others.
  • The “Emerging Occupations” section includes links to a variety of “newer” potential career options, like Game Designer, Videographer and Disaster Recovery Planner.
  • Under “Lifelong Learning” there are links to Skills Profiler, Michigan Virtual University, Military Careers and several other items that can be helpful with career and education exploration.

Don’t miss other helpful sections of the Michigan Career Portal that might be helpful to you. Links to other sections include:
