As you explore various colleges you’ll find helpful information for potential students and family members on most college Web sites. On this page we’re providing you with the links to valuable information provided by Michigan State University.

Helpful Hints for the College Bound

Mark Nazario, MSU Admissions Associate Director, offers an exciting 4-H Exploration Days session, Helpful Hints for the College Bound. In addition to an interactive tour of the campus, Mark shares practical advice about ACT and SAT preparation, college prep tracks in high school, advanced placement classes and financial aid. It’s an opportunity to get your questions about getting into college answered. High school seniors participating in this session will have their MSU admission application fee waived.

MSU College Planning Resources

Planning for college during middle school and early high school years will help you determine not only your career goals, but also what type of college experience will best suit your needs, interests and expectations. College planning information for middle and high school-aged students can be found in the MSU pamphlet called “College Planning Guide.”

The MSU “Future Students” page contains information to help you in your college search and planning process. There are links to college preparatory curriculum, academic programs, application instructions and much more.

Use the MSU Office of Admissions Site Map as a tool to assist you in finding answers to general admission questions. There are many other helpful topic areas to choose from, including finances, visiting campus and campus life. The Student Toolbox is the place to submit an online application, check your admission status and perform other tasks.
