Seniors Receive 4-H College Scholarships

Cyndi Mark

Did you know that each year, many 4-H county councils and boards give away hundreds of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors who are 4-H members? Though the amounts vary by county and type of scholarship, this is one way 4-H recognizes 4-H’ers for the great work they have done.

To find out if your county offers 4-H scholarships, contact your county office. Also, if your county 4-H council doesn’t offer scholarships, consider working with them to start a scholarship program in your area. This is a great way to encourage career development and leadership and is being promoted by the 4-H Citizenship, Leadership and Service Priority Team.
