If you haven’t already, take some time to check out what’s happening in the 4-H Environmental & Outdoor Education area! The main page of the Web site http://Web1.msue.msu.edu/cyf/youth/enved.html provides a link directly to each 4-H EOE content area (Challenge, Entomology, Great Lakes & Natural Resources Camp, Junior Citizen Planner, Michigan 4-H Youth Conservation Council, Project FISH, REAACT, Shooting Sports and Trackers, and to the new 4-H Enviro-Stew Fun and Games). In additional, the site includes interactive learning games and some “do, reflect, apply” activities/lesson plans. There’s also a “Grants, Contests, Training & Other Opportunities” section. You’ll discover a number of things you can use with your 4-H members—from lessons and activities about Michigan’s invasive species to understanding land-use issues. |
