PEP Program Aide– Assist staff with the 4-H Proud Equestrians (PEP) program. Recruit volunteers and riders to participate in this Therapeutic Riding Program. Assist staff in program promotion, fundraising, evaluation and volunteer recognition. Assist in weekly riding classes as a sidewalker or leader and preparing horses. Experience in working with children with disabilities and/or horses. Training provided.

Program Aide– Assist staff with Great Lakes Education Program for elementary youth and adult volunteers. Work at various activity stations to provide water quality education on board school ship vessel on Clinton River and Lake St. Clair, assist with volunteer training and scheduling, organize supplies and activity stations. May assist with special research grant through MSU/Michigan Sea Grant in data and evaluation survey collection. Good verbal skills.

Initial training provided prior to start of duties.

Assist in planning youth horticulture programs for one or more sites. Implement and coordinate bi-weekly educational and recreational activities, general garden maintenance and trouble-shoot garden problems.  Gardens may be vegetable, flower or habitat focused, average 5-10 sq. ft. (small). Interest in horticulture and gardening experience desired.
