Swine Youth Programs
Members of the Pork Team are a very integral part of swine youth programs in Michigan and regularly provide leadership and assistance to a variety of youth activities. Key events include: the Green & White Swine Youth Education Fair & Open Hog Show in late January, the Spartan Classic Junior Hog Show in June, and the Michigan State Fair Swine Youth Show in August. Members of the Pork Team are also heavily involved in Pork Quality Assurance certification and training sessions for youth and Train the Trainer programs. Team members are available on a limited basis for county youth programs. Refer to the link below for additional information and opportunities for youth that are interested in swine.
