| In 2000 Michigan placed third in the nation in the value of wholesale sales of floriculture crops with an estimated value of $300 million dollars. This figure is up nearly 30% from the previous year. Michigan has over 726 commercial growers that produce floriculture crops ($10,000 or more in gross sales). The total greenhouse spcae in the state covers 41.1 million square feet. | ||
