The
Program
The MSU Extension Community Development Area of Expertise
Team is offering an eight (8) module curriculum to "increase the basic
understanding and application of community development principles, practices
and tools."
The
Curriculum
The
curriculum consists of eight modules developed to help community leaders,
decision makers and active community members understand the basic community
development principles. During each seminar, participants will enjoy a range
of hands on learning exercises that can be applied in their communities.
Participants will study "Our town" in Thomas County a fictitious
small town in Michigan to practice their community development skills. And,
participants will learn how to engage their community to affect the following
outcomes.

Cost:
Individual Session: $300
Four Sessions: $1,400 (includes notebook and reference material) (10 -20
participants)
Full Curriculum: $2,500 (includes notebook, power point and reference material)
(10-20 participants)
Requirements:
Ten to Twenty Participants
Meeting room, meal and facility arrangements.
Registration of participants
Individual seminar - 3 hours
Four seminars - 12 hours
Eight seminars - 24 hours
