For Teens Only – 4-H Teen Programs on the Move
Cyndi Mark
Are you a 4-H teen leader and confused about what that means? Are you looking for some new ideas and ways to get involved? Each year, more than 5,000 teen 4-H’ers sign up to be teen leaders, and many are asking what it means and what they can do.
Based on a 2005 survey, the 4-H Citizenship, Leadership and Service Priority Team developed some new Web-based materials that can help Michigan 4-H teen leaders. The Web site has ideas on getting started, suggestions for activities, ways to practice your leadership skills and how to use this information in a resume. There is a special 4-H Teen Leader Portfolio that you can use to keep track of your plans and experiences. Sound interesting? Grab a computer and visit our web site at http://web1.msue.msu.edu/cyf/youth/cls/teenlead-overview.html. |
